The hot rolled tubes are in the size range of 4 ½” – 16 ½” (114-419 mm). The gauge is mounted immediately after the sizing mill and provides instant feedback as to the size and shape of the tubes being produced.  In a separate installation a little further downstream the length of the tubes are measured using a LaserSpeed LS8000-316E.
