Gypsum board temperature monitoring system. To check the board hardening and crystallization for control of mixing and accelerator. Correct, stabilized, board temperature into dryer infeed – no cracks and paper problems.
Temperature sensors are to be positioned between mixer and dryer with max 16 sensors in a system. A basic system has four temperature sensors (at mixer, midway, knife and dryer).
The sensors typically measure a rather big, circular gypsum board area of about 300mm (1’), giving representative, stable, temperature values with an accuracy within +-1ºC (+-2ºF). All sensors are well protected, in enclosure boxes, mounted about 1,8m (6’) above the line.
