Thickness and Width Measurement System

PreciCura SR/MR/LR

The PreciCura SR (Short Range) is the standard sensor in our measuring systems. It has a resolution of 0.01mm and a fixed measurement range of 200mm. This is a very accurate sensor and the measurement range is sufficient for nearly all types of wood panels.

PreciCura MR (Medium Range) and PreciCura LR (Long Range) have bigger, and user selectable, measurement ranges. MR has a measurement range of up to 2m and LR can measure up to 8m. The MR sensors are often used as width measurement gauges, either in systems or stand-alone, typically with one on each side of the panel. If the measured object is thin and/or vibrating a lot there is a patented option to the sensors that we call “Height Vision”. This function measures with a 30mm beam of laser light, instead of a small dot, which allows vertical movements of the measured panel within this 30mm with no loss of measurements and with maintained accuray.

When the sensors are used in systems they run under the system software. When used in stand-alone applications there is a simple to install, easy to use, PC software PreciCuraSet, that displays current measurement and can configure the sensors in different modes of operation.
