LIMAB BoardProfiler L gives a complete description of boards thickness profiler in a lineal conveyor. The system can easily be mounted in an existing conveyor without any big costs for rebuildings. The system can be used for boards with a width up to 300 mm.

Internal system communication via ethernet, which minimize cabeling at installations. External system communication via serial RS232C and digital I/O.

LIMABs newly developed 2-D ProfiCura sensor is the base in the system. The ProfiCura uses the latest digital and optical laser technology with an advanced built-in microprocessor (DSP Digital Signal Processor) and CMOS-array. This gives the high measurment accuracy that is required today in the wood industry. Further advantages is low maintenance cost depending on non-contact measurement and sensors that is not affected by surrounding light or wet boards.

Measurmemet method

Non-contact synchronized measurement. Measurement intavals is given by an encoder, mechanically connected to the conveyor. The encoder gives a signal to the PC which informs about the boards position. On the PC screen will the commplete profile of each board be shown. The profile will be updated for every new board. The products ID and data will be logged in an Excel file.

• Reject board when defect acc. to spec.
• Saving of all rawdata for the possibility to look at boards afterwards. (50 boards)
• Unlimited numbers of boards numerical values can be stored on the computors hard disc.
• Exit to superior system via RS232, digital, TCP/IP. Prepared for network.
• Service menue shows status and Q-value for all sensors. Graph from all rawdata for the last measured board.
• Swedish/English text for the program.
• Diagnostic menue with alarm for fault.
